Think you’ve heard it all when it comes to sowing and reaping? Pastor David Winston will share with you an exciting new perspective on sowing and reaping in his new teaching, It’s Planting Season. God has instructed us to sow seed in two realms—the natural and the spiritual. In the natural realm, we can sow things like time, money and resources, but in the spiritual realm, we sow the Word of God. This “word seed” causes our financial seed to grow. And, since “faith” is the currency of the Kingdom of God, there is no time limitation on when we can sow. It is always “harvest time.”
When we go through times of shortage, God asks us to give what we have, so He can deliver us out of the circumstances that caused the lack. Ecclesiastes 11:4 AMPC says, “He who observes the wind [and waits for all conditions to be favorable] will not sow, and he who regards the clouds will not reap.” We don’t want to be part of the group that waits to sow. We want to be part of the group that lives by 2 Corinthians 5:7, “For we walk by faith [we regulate our lives and conduct ourselves by our conviction or belief respecting man’s relationship to God and divine things, with trust and holy fervor; thus we walk] not by sight or appearance.” Discover more biblical principles and profound truths in It’s Planting Season.
